Kaiken Obertura

Obertura

Kaiken Obertura is the first product of a new line of Kaiken wines that draws inspiration from Argentina’s sensuality and passion. To explore new things, to innovate, and to take up interesting challenges: these are the pillars of our philosophy. This is Kaiken’s calling and the spirit of Kaiken Obertura Cabernet Franc.

Grapes are hand-picked from our vineyards located in the designations of origin of Vista Flores, in the Uco Valley, in the Argentine province of Mendoza. This soil and high-altitude climate (marked by warm days and cool nights) allow grapes to ripe slowly and result well-balanced wines, both in the nose and the mouth.

Bright, moderately saturated ruby-red. Musky, almost Syrah-like aromas of black raspberry, blackberry, graphite, spices and violet are complicated by subtle hints of chocolate, leather and game. Suave and ne- grained but at the same time high-pitched and tight, showing lovely tobacco leaf and herbal pungency and scintillating oral lift to its intense currant and black pepper avors. As fresh and tightly coiled as this wine is, it’s not hard or austere. Finishes with a ne dusting of tannins and subtle rising length. At once deeper and more rened than the Ultra Cabernet.
